Skill Levels


The following guide will help you find classes that are right for you. A basic knowledge of your machine is necessary for all classes. Please plan on bringing your own machine and user manual to class. If you have never sewn before, our "Quilting Prep" class is recommended. 
True Beginner:
 "I can sew a straight line, but have never taken on a quilting or sewing project." 

Advanced Beginner: 
"I have completed simple projects and am eager to learn more." 

Intermediate: 
"I know how to use my machine well, and have both sewing and quilting projects under my belt." 

Advanced: 
"I have a vast understanding of my machine, and have completed some challenging projects."

Charlotte's Web Quilt Challenge

We are inviting quilters of all levels to join us this year in supporting our community read by participating in a Quilt CHALLENGE! This year's Virginia Read is the classic children's book Charlotte's Web. The challenge is to commemorate Charlotte?s Web with your own interpretation of the story in a quilt of any size. Sign up is only $5. Come in to the shop to sign up, receive the Challenge rules, your Special ID#, and 2 free fat quarters (to be used in your quilt).
