About Friends Around the Block
Dear Valued Customer,
This letter has been a long time coming. Life has been a whirlwind. Having shoulder surgery the 30th of August, buying Friends Around the Block, and my husband having open heart surgery the 27th of October.
Barbara, Elysa and I have gotten in the shop and have had many challenges, as all new shop owners do. Inventory, ordering, organizing, moving things and learning all of the ins and outs of the business. We are very happy to be here and seeing all of our customers. Many of you know one or more of us, perhaps all of us. We will do our best to make your shopping and quilting experience the best possible.
Soon we will be scheduling classes, retreats, game days, sew days and anything else we can think of to keep it interesting. If you have a need from something let us know and we will see what we can do to help you. Check the calendar to see when things are happening. If you are interested in learning something, please let us know and we will try and get a class scheduled.
We have classes starting again in January with our "Sew Kind of Wonderful" Club. Yvonne Phenicie will be the teacher and will be sharing her knowledge with students of all levels. If you have unfinished projects, bring them in and finish them here with any help you may need. Want to start something new or learn a new technique, Yvonne is here to make it possible. We are very happy that she is willing to continue this club. I for one am looking forward to finishing my projects. Classes will be the third Thursday of every month through March. Please come and join the fun. Classes are from 10:00 to 3:00. Cost is $30.00 per month.
Kathy Boehm will be teaching "What Knot" class on Tuesday January 23, 2024. Classes are from 10:00 to 3:00, cost is $30.00
